cookieman15061 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Great arrangement by Don Costa. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J9FvFifcoA
Tman Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Something in the way, Jack. That was amazing to watch on many levels. The chairman of the board indeed. I watched the conductor in the beginning. He was spot on trying to follow Frank's timing and had the whole orchestra following his every adjustment. Fantastic. Then Frank Sinatra's rat pack interpretation of Something. Thanks Cookieman. I enjoyed it!
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Great arrangement by Don Costa. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J9FvFifcoA Wow, it´s an absolutely great version of one of my favourite songs. [thumbup]
57classic Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Love Sinatra and that was cool but also comical in a way. It had all the characteristics that comedians used to satirize him. I couldn't help but think of Joe Piscopo and Phil Hartman while watching that video.
cookieman15061 Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 Sinatra's funny because he starts every song on the stool, gets up and walks around as the song moves him and then sits down at the end so you know the song is over.
charlie brown Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Sinatra's funny because he starts every song on the stool, gets up and walks around as the song moves him and then sits down at the end so you know the song is over. OR...he was an "old guy" (by then), trying to conserve his energy?! Or, maybe he'd been drinkin' with Dean and Sammy, and didn't want to get too far away, from the stool?! CB
FirstMeasure Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Love the way he say's "Beatles". Sounds so Gangster.
zigzag Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 "I don't need no udder lover..." I'm not even gonna ask...
MissouriPicker Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 He was definitly "Chairman of The Board." Hadn't seen this video in a while. Thanks for posting it. He did the song "his" way.
