canon_mutant Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Got Santa as a car salesman this year and also as a potential Apple gift thief requiring mom to guard the tree Xmas eve. I mean was there layoffs and furloughs even at the North Pole this year requiring Santa to seek odd jobs? Perhaps he lost his life savings in the meltdown too. Next he'll be greeting folks at Walmart! Capitalism at its worst . . .
FirstMeasure Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Santa's always kept the operation in the black with testimonials and guest appearances. Bob Hope didn't get Santa for free, ya know. He still get's royalties from his appearance in the original "Miracle in 34th St.", but since the remake sales have been down and a dollar just doesn't go as far as it did in '47. Plus he doesn't get anything from the "Night Before Christmas" line of books, movies, and merchandise. He signed a one time deal for what seemed to be a lot of money. But now the Modern Gas Kitchen he bought with it was outdated two years later and never made cookies as good as his wood burning ovens. I think that's what drove him to Testimonials, lot's of money now, and once you're on the A list your phone doesn't stop ringing. The important part is he keeps his spirit to the last, so Merry Christmas to All, and to all a Swell Evening!
Morkolo Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 How can you be surprised, Santa's like Gene Simmons he has his hands in anything that will make a buck.
canon_mutant Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Must have got a better offer. He's selling Mercedes tonight.
