LarryUK
I've just been looking on the Gibson site and I'm surprised at the pricing of the Les Paul Custom Pro. The Red Tiger is so much more than the others. $3k for a colour? I'd like Gibson to comment on this. http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-Custom/Les-Paul-Custom-Pro.aspx The link. LarryUK
In fact. It's $3800 more than the blue. You could buy a Traditional as well for the difference. Stupid.
BigKahune
. Outside of the glaring Red Tiger price. Why the big difference between Pelham Blue and Inverness Green? . They're both solid colors. .
LarryUK
If you look at the site pics. The green is all green and the blue is just the front. So really the green should cost more. If this is the way Gibson are now. The Feds can have them. I really think they should comment on this.

Over $1000 for one side of paint!?! No way. Check the 2008 STD - like $400 difference between the transparent finishes and the solid colors. - http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/2008-Les-Paul-Standard.aspx . LarryUK
Before anyone say's that 'if you don't like it, buy another brand'. It's not the brand that's in question here. I can understand a price premium for a nice top. But some of these are ridiculous. It's just paint! You might say that 'it's the mssp. But it should be reasonable at the start. bonzoboy
That kind of pricing difference is indefensible as far as I'm concerned, there can be no logical reason for this kind of difference other than it being a glaring misprint or just plain gouging at its absolute worst.
