SHAgerskov
Am I the only one who has trouble telling the difference between cherry and brown, when it comes to special faded models? I just bought a second hand special faded and it looks cherry in dark lighting, but brown in bright... Below is a picture of the subject. Please help me determine its color... Any thoughts on the matter would also be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance :) Simon
SHAgerskov
Thanks for your answer... The color wouldn't matter to me either, if I only knew what it was What does mine look to be in your eyes? And thanks for the link, but I passed the color blind test
SHAgerskov
But even if it was called "sky blue pink"........ I wish it was... xD
strat-o-steve
That is totally a worn brown model. The faded cherry like my sg special is undeniably RED :)

Telechamp
I have a Worn Brown, but in certain light conditions, it does look kind of reddish.
mKwatra427
I'm guessing that that first picture is of an extremely faded/worn cherry SG. All the later pics seem like Worn Brown. But I am by no means sure of my judgement in this, so anyone, please correct or confirm this for me. Just my recommendation.

Unless its a very, very old Cherry (and not that long in the grand scheme that fadeds have been made) I still say it has to be brown. I wonder how these faded specials are going to age actually. I know the nitro will fairly speedily wear away at the key contact points but I wonder whether the base colours will fade in the same way as some vintage models have.
