bluesguitar65
Ok, was browsing around and saw two Les Paul jr that are currently available, one for $699 and one for $$849. From what I see, the only difference is that the higher priced one as an actual "rosewood" fingerboard and the lower priced one has "obache" fingerboard. I'm not able to play them obviously to compare so which one would you buy? I'm also looking at resale value and potential collectors piece. I like to hold on to my gear and not sell, yes I'm a bit a of a music gear "Hoarder"........because I can be [flapper] Here is the one for $699 http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Jr.aspx Here is one for $849 http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Jr-Faded.aspx

bluesguitar65
My votes for the Faded lovely dark top on that Yea, I'm actually going for that. Im aiming for the sunburst, but I would of liked the sunburst to be a little more yellowish in the center, like the ones from the 50s did. The vintage sunburst they have offered looks more like " tobacco sunburst" instead of "vintage sunburst" to me.
Malchik
I had a vintage burst satin. Whore the finish of in a year. They're good if you're into the relicing scene.
bluesguitar65
Well, I got the les paul junior with the satin finish and the one with "ROSEWOOD" fingerboard instead of the cheaper priced one that has the "OBECHE" fingerboard. I managed to find a mom and pop shop that had both les paul junior and I preferred the one with the rosewood fingerboard, the neck was also much slimmer.
