snowbum007
Well, I pulled the trigger and finally bought a casino. I've wanted one for a while and finally found a great price on a new 61 reissue casino. I know, I know I'll get pics of it up in a few. What a great guitar. Plays and sounds like a dream. My neighbor happens to be a luthier and he set it up for me. He even agreed that it was a wonderful guitar; better than another customers vintage casino. I have to say since I bought my first epi, a les paul in 2005, the quality just seems to have gotten better. I changed the pups and electronics on my les paul and dot deluxe but I don't have to change a thing with this casino. I'm a little jealous of how much I spent on my les paul when I look at what they have available today. Gibson pups, orange caps and long tennon necks for the same amount as I paid 6 years ago. It just seems like they turned a corner and are really offering some great stuff and took notice of the mods people are doing. With the recent economic challenges I'm impressed they are able to offer more for about the same price.

RaSTuS
Wonderful you're so happy with it SB, they have indeed been listening to the modders, and that can only be a good thing, they could still use better nuts and bridges, but we still need something to do to them to make them feel like our own, don't we. enjoy it mate and HNGD. bonzoboy
Casinos are head and shoulders above most other guitars in their price bracket both of quality of finish and in sound and playability too.My 1965 John Lennon Casino is my easiest playing and favourite guitar out of 30 that I own. snowbum007
Thanks guys. This is really a great guitar. Here is some obligatory porn. It was taken with my iphone and the colors are better represented than most images I see on the web. If anyone from Epiphone is reading, I am a semi-professional photographer and I would be willing to shoot your stock photos. So far I seem to be able to do better with my iphone. Every stock photo of the royal tan casino has the outside brown with way too much red. I will post one of all 4 epis, when I get a chance.
