Hey everyone at Gibson,

Thank you for taking your time and looking at this post, I had a few questions and I was wondering if you could help me.

I have enterd the Slash "Go for the Gold" contest, and I have made it to the finals.

my video is "Gold and Silver Bucket heads" and can be found after entering your e-mail and will be found on the left side 3 videos down.

http://www.gibson.com/Slash/VideoContest/SlashVideoVote/Default.aspx <--- Link to the voting page.

one of the questions was, When I vote on one of the videos that was put up for the finals, how many votes dose it take to change a percent?

And how many times can I vote with one e-mail?

Thank you all for your time.

Rock on

Jarbe

how many votes does it take to change a percent?

That would depend on the total number of votes. If you have one vote for a video the standings will be 100% to 0. thus the second vote will make a difference of 50%. The more votes that are received, the lower amount of difference it will make.

as I said it depends on the number of votes. If your video (hypothetically speaking of course) has 2000 votes for, and 2000 against, then an extra 100 would make a difference of only 2%. the more likely explanation is that the votes haven't registered yet; if you voted this number of times recently the difference may not show up on the system for a day or two.

yeah I was thinking about the Delay at first, but Iv watched other guys go from below me, to soaring past, so I'm not sure, I find the whole thing quite confusing really, we all started our with 49% to 50%, and then I had mine come up to 50 the first day then the other guys did as well and then as the days went by they kept growing and mind did not.
