When I play through a crystal clear amp with the bridge pickup (EMG 81) I get a clean tone, only distorting sliiiightlyyyy when striking the strings really, really hard. When I play through the neck pickup (EMG 85) or both pickups simultaneously (with the toggle in the mid-position), I get heavy distortion, especially when playing chords. Should I take my guitar to a luthier to fix it, or does someone experience the same problem with his/her Steinberger Synapse Guitar (either Transcale or not)?
