Ticket Price

Hi,

I was in Cardiff this weekend for an Oasis Concert. During the day I though I would take a wonder around the town and I came across a great music store.

I spotted an amazing R9 Tobacco Burst with the most amazing tiger stripes. The ticket price for this beauty was £4000. After a short negotiation I got the guy down to £3100 in less than 60 seconds. I told him from the outset that I wasnt going to buy it.... If I was and I had the cash to wave in his face, I wonder how much more he would have come down in price.

It just goes to show how the price is so marked up!

Does anyone know what the best price for a NEW R9 here in the uk??

Regards

So just to get this straight... 3100 pounds would be roughly equivalent to $6300 CDN? (according to the online converter' date=' anyway.) I know that MF sells R9s for $5700 CDN and the music store I go to for Gibson would give me one for about $5400 tax-incl.[/quote']

Yep, Thats about right. That's why buying from America or Canada is much cheaper for us. The exchange rate was good but now its going rapidly downhill...

$5,400 Canadian? Don't pay $5,400. L&M list price is $5,075.

I got mine straight from the (Canadian) top for $4,500, new. They sold it to me as a B-stock, even though there was nothing wrong with the guitar.

Actually, prices may have just gone up because on the day I got my SG, I was told prices may be increasing on the very same day because of the dollar. I haven't gone back to confirm this.
