BluesKing777 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Hi Link below to my version of NY's 'This Old Guitar' played on my Gibson B25-12n twelve string and recorded on my Zoom H2: http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11324733&q=hi&newref=1 BluesKing777.
ol fred Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Great job BK, one of my favorites. I really relate to this song
BluesKing777 Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 Thanks everybody. The Zoom H2 does a good job, especially compared to my other track I posted that was recorded on a Rode NTK to a Sebatron and to the Mac. The Zoom is a fraction of the cost of the Rode and preamp! The only catch is that with the Rode condensor mic I set that up 'off-axis' to me (mic and stand about a foot to my right - this helps get rid of strange breathing noises and shirt rustling and picking noises). The Zoom is stereo and of course has to go directly in front, and also seems to need a lot of gain to get a full sound, but then picks up you breathing like a marathon runner. Still, for the money, wow! BluesKing777.
