ShredAstaire Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I have to think about it for a bit...plenty to choose from!!!
alexri Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Clapton's "Fool," Page's Double Neck, and Hendrix's white Custom.
sellen Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Angus, Tony , Hendrix is the obvious answer . But you got that Solodallas on youtube playing ac-dc. Man he got some great sg's And Phil x sg youtube videos at fretted americana, are kinda cool to Guess those two sg's here are my fav , played by Phil x and Solodallas with this really cool black customhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3NKTKBKjHM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDyCc6Dv8LM&feature=related But when i look at the question again i would say anybody that ask nicely can play my fav sg

Reynolds_wRap Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Hendrix played a Gibson SG seriously? I thought he played a strat mostly and a flying v sometimes Yeah he played an SG a couple times....http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/gitaarventje/Jimi%2520Hendrix/HendrixSG.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.kramerforum.com/forum/showthread.php%3Ft%3D47725&h=466&w=698&sz=57&tbnid=GRIaXTahNWkBhM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=152&zoom=1&docid=8H896JlOxCOR-M&sa=X&ei=7KD-TpfIDOrp0QHGk7C6Ag&ved=0CCYQ9QEwAQ&dur=485 but my favorite is Angus Young's 71 sg with the Maestro Vibrola, there is one identical to it at the HOG I wish I could afford it
alexri Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Hendrix played a Gibson SG seriously? I thought he played a strat mostly and a flying v sometimes Hendrix played strats, jazzmasters, teles, LP's, flying V's, the SG, a guild 12 string, I've even seena picture of him with a Ric. He just favored the Strat.

sellen Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 The sg vids iv seen with Jimi, i feel he struggles a bit with it. On The Flying V he rules, Isle of wight "Red House" on the V is fantastic
ALFA ROMEO CORSE Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 She plays a SG Custom Madame Sister Rosetta http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeaBNAXfHfQ
Nick Beach Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 John Mayer, on one song... Whats not to love, early SG with sideways tremolo, and it's played by my favorite guitar player.
btoth76 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Another not so known fact was Hendrix was in the US Army and was a qualified Airborne Infantry Man. That's why He was so high all the time. God bless Him! By the way SG people: anyone here remembers Frank Marino? Cheers... Bence
EVOL! Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Here's a couple. Pete Townshend. This cat totally slipped my mind. One of my all time favorites is late sixties/early seventies Who and that's when Townshend was sporting the SGs. The cherry ones and later the white.
RowdyMoon Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 All awsome pics...lets not forget this guy....My link
BobB Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 If the question is: "Who plays your fav SG?", I would have to say ME. I love my SG, so it is definitely my fav ax. As for people who play the SG model,it's hard to beat great players like Iommi, Young, Zappa and Kreiger.
DestructorsKillMusic1982 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 While Angus would be the easy answer for me, and an influence on my playing for sure, I'd have to say Glenn Buxton and Michael Bruce of the original Alice Cooper band. Those SG's on the back sleeve of "Love It to Death" were the first place I saw SG's, and once I started playing I knew from that moment on that I must have an SG someday.
jaygl Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 One of my faves just for his greasy, cool vibe - Badass for sure.....He rocks the end solo. Love those 70's models sg's. I'm saving up for one.
