Reynolds_wRap
Hendrix played a Gibson SG seriously? I thought he played a strat mostly and a flying v sometimes  Yeah he played an SG a couple times....http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/gitaarventje/Jimi%2520Hendrix/HendrixSG.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.kramerforum.com/forum/showthread.php%3Ft%3D47725&h=466&w=698&sz=57&tbnid=GRIaXTahNWkBhM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=152&zoom=1&docid=8H896JlOxCOR-M&sa=X&ei=7KD-TpfIDOrp0QHGk7C6Ag&ved=0CCYQ9QEwAQ&dur=485   but my favorite is Angus Young's 71 sg with the Maestro Vibrola, there is one identical to it at the HOG I wish I could afford it

sellen
The sg vids iv seen with Jimi, i feel he struggles a bit with it. On The Flying V he rules, Isle of wight "Red House" on the V is fantastic

Nick Beach
John Mayer, on one song... Â Whats not to love, early SG with sideways tremolo, and it's played by my favorite guitar player.

btoth76
Another not so known fact was Hendrix was in the US Army and was a qualified Airborne Infantry Man. Â That's why He was so high all the time. God bless Him! By the way SG people: anyone here remembers Frank Marino? Cheers... Bence
EVOL!
Here's a couple. Pete Townshend. Â Â Â This cat totally slipped my mind. One of my all time favorites is late sixties/early seventies Who and that's when Townshend was sporting the SGs. The cherry ones and later the white. BobB
If the question is: "Who plays your fav SG?", I would have to say ME. I love my SG, so it is definitely my fav ax. As for people who play the SG model,it's hard to beat great players like Iommi, Young, Zappa and Kreiger.

DestructorsKillMusic1982
While Angus would be the easy answer for me, and an influence on my playing for sure, I'd have to say Glenn Buxton and Michael Bruce of the original Alice Cooper band. Those SG's on the back sleeve of "Love It to Death" were the first place I saw SG's, and once I started playing I knew from that moment on that I must have an SG someday.
