I got er' done.

All went well last night.

The hardest part about the whole procedure was taking off the volume & tone knobs.

I had my daughter take plenty of photos along the way. I used them as reference points, and also to

judge where the volume/tone pointers where positioned. I used a small piece of cardboard and marked off the

bridge settings, so I just put everything back exactly where it was.

I agree with the lads...

The guitar takes on a whole new life. I didnt really mind the "haze" type finish, but I much prefer the shiny

style look.

Very nice Blue, I've always thought you had one of the nicest git-fiddles around.

I have a question aimed at anyone who might know why...

Why are the bridges on the 50's era LP's pointed aft? Seems like later versions are pointed forward. My R7 is the same way, makes adjusting intonation more difficult. I was just curious.

Very nice! That's a great piece of maple you got there. =P~

How long did it take you to complete?

Because the original bursts were like that. "Historically accurate."

Looks beautiful! And I bet it looks even better in person. The VOS and faded finishes photograph well since they don't reflect as much, but they look a bit dull in person. How many times have you looked at it since you finished? =P~

BTW, looks like the volume pointers are a bit off from the tone pointers - especially the bridge pickup volume. Don't know if you are picky about such things. I never look at them while I am playing anyway.
