onewilyfool Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Anyone tried these??? http://www.stoneworkspicks.com/
DanvillRob Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 No...people say I already sound like I'm playin' stoned!
j45nick Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 No...people say I already sound like I'm playin' stoned! I already have rocks in my head. I would be dangerous with them in my hand holding a guitar. The concept doesn't seem quite right to me. I thought man moved away from using rocks as tools about 5,000 years ago. Maybe guitarists are just not very highly evolved.
blindboygrunt Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 i managed this with a dunlop tortex ! imagine if i had a stone !
Hogeye Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I tried the stone picks many years ago. They were pretty. Having said that I just couldn't get them to sound good to my ears. They made a decided click when flat picking individual strings. My be my technique but they didn't work for me.
BigKahune Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 . Whoa! . . One of those is priced at a whopping $85. I'm not one for spending big money on a pic, regardless of what material they're made of. . B) .

Buc McMaster Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 They made a decided click when flat picking individual strings. Yes indeed. They can certainly produce a glassy, ticking kind of noise on the strings. A flat angle of attack and very firm grip can minimize this noise, but it's still there. I still have a couple in the box but they don't suit me much either.
greatwhite_10 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Turned upside down ... make a pendant for your lady. After you collect your belongings she throws onto the lawn ... it'd be tough to justify this "pick."
onewilyfool Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 I thought they would be good for ROCK music....Sly and the Family Stone used to use them, We shouldn't take them for granite .......
fumblefinger Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Maybe that's what some of them thar "modern bands" are using. They just haven't evolved yet. Once more with feeling.pdf
