Guest farnsbarns Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I think this may have been a bit OTT. Cool though... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J--WBdwnyvI
rocketman Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I thought it was great! Would have loved to seen that from a overhead view.
Malchik Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I can think of a lot of things that money could contribute to than blown up.
Duende Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Thank God Diamonds Are Forever rescued the display sound track from Coldplay and Supergrass! LOL That was awesome I drank so much last night (7 hours ago) yet here I am up and about feeling fine! Matt
lagerfanny Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 That was needed to show the world we are strong for our Olympic year ! About time this country grew some, and held our head high to be proud again of our place in the global community. God save the Queen.

While I am indifferent to the Royal family I agree whole heartedly with you! I hope the Olympics really kick starts a feel good factor for Britain and the economy. We also have the EURO and 6 nations to look forward to, The Champions league and even a new Bond film so it should be great! Matt
FirstMeasure Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 It could be that I'm an American, but I think Fireworks Displays are supposed to be Over The Top. I'm not sure "Reserved" or "Understated" are what I'm looking for in a series of explosions.

Well if your putting your faith in fireworks to accomplish that you'll be hugely disappointed Lags.

cookieman15061 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Matt, I love all of them with Connery. My parents took me to see everyone of those films. I even got a remote control Aston Martin with working ejector seat and a official Bond briefcase full of spy gear for Christmas one year. My childhood was actually quite British, filled with Beatles albums and Bond films hahaha!
Versatile Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 The fireworks were great !! Possibly MIC....lol ! Good to see the Bond franchise rejuvenated with Craig.... V

My childhood was actually quite British, filled with Beatles albums and Bond films hahaha! Have you still got the Aston Martin? I had a tiny model that had a mechanical ejector seat but alas it has been long lost :( I do though have a model of the silver Aston Martin used in Die Another Day! In 1999 when we first got a DVD player the first films I began collecting were the Bonds! I love The Connery Bonds and also a few of The Moore ones like Octo*****, The Man With The Golden Gun and Moonraker. Although a great actor Timothy Dalton was for me completely the wrong man to be James Bond and my least favourite of the franchise is Licensed To Kill. Matt
Duende Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 ps I am giggling seeing Octo***** automatically censored
