gregsuarez Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I’m considering the purchase of a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Studio, and I wanted to check on some of the specs the seller was unsure of. 1) Did the 2007 Studios come with the 498T/490R pickups like the current models? BTW, this is a non-"Faded" model. 2) Were the 2007 Studios chambered or weight relieved (or neither)? Thanks
gregsuarez Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 Google is your friend... Google is getting me nowhere. Google brought me to this forum.
Eracer_Team Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Chambering started in 2006 The Faded model's back then came with mahogany top and Burst Bucker's from what I remember.. The maple top model's came with 490/498's.
gregsuarez Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 Then your not using the right key words. Yeah, that must be it...
StijnV Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Chambering started in fact in 2007 on all USA Les Paul models (although there are always exceptions possible with signature guitars). In 2007 the non-faded Les Pauls still got the 490R and 498T as far as I could check, but if you check the spacing of the polepieces of the bridge pickup you will know for sure. If the bridge polepiece spacing is different from the polepiece spacing of the neck pickup then the pickups should be the 490R and 498T.
