Thunderchild Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Seriously thinking about putting a set of sperzel locking tuners on my new classic custom. Any and all opinions welcome. Thanks in advance TC
Lars.o Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I would put Sperzel locking tuners if my tuning is bad. I think you need to drill 10mm hole on the headstock
AlanH Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Seriously thinking about putting a set of sperzel locking tuners on my new classic custom. Any and all opinions welcome. Thanks in advance TC Shouldn't need them if the nut has been cut properly.
Thunderchild Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 Thinking about it mainly for ease of changing strings. Tuning and stability seems perfect. my 08 standard has the locking grovers and changing wires is so easy. Plus, I'm a lazy old man who has had too many bloody fingertips messing with the ends of strings. I do appreciate all the replies, Thanks. Tc
nitefly Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Hey TC, My Parker came stock with locking Sperzel tuners and I think they are very effective components. I guess it boils down to personal preference as to whether you would change the tuners on your Classic, especially if the current implementation works well. Personally, unless I had a real problem I would probably lean towards keeping the classic stock. That's my 2 cents anyway. Nitefly
