pippy
Very sweet! Can you post a close-up of the fingerboard, please, as, previously, I've only seen (pale!) maple boards on natural finish Customs and yours seems to have mellowed nicely. Welcome!!! saturn
Very cool. I know some purists don't like maple fretboards on a LP, but I think they're pretty interesting.

djroge1
That is a nice looking guitar. How does the maple fretboard sound compared with the rosewood? I have a '78 LP Standard, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. I got mine in '79 too.

1982CARLPEMGS
Absolutely my favorite Gibson LP! I see those pop up from time to time on eBay in either BLACK or NATURAL. I drool each time that I see one! They seem to sell at about $3,500.00-$4,000.00 (too rich for my blood at the moment!). Really a unique and beautiful instrument. tulsaslim
I love 'em. Man, I've been tempted to take one of my Epi LPs to my luthier & have him pop the fretboard off & replace it with a birdseye maple with little-bitty frets. Yours looks really cool. I'm jealous. 1982CARLPEMGS
Of course...if you're a "well heeled" individual...you could always buy a "New/Reissue" for a bit more... http://www.privatereserveguitars.com/Gibson-Custom-Les-Paul-Custom-Natural-Finish-Electric-Guitar-with-Maple-Fretboard-518047-i1324107.guitars
