Dude Adkins Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 okay, got her back today, cracks all filled in with glue, all chips in the finish filled up and laquered over, everything buffed and looking as beautiful as can be for such a neglected piece of wood. still not playable yet tho, bout makes me cry. had to slant the neck back to to the warp in it. causing the tongue of the fretboard to make a hump where the dovetail meets the body. soon she's gettin her frets pulled, planed down fretboard to get a smooth action, and a higher bridge so the saddle isn't around an inch tall (like the one we tried to make it with. basically, the neck is angled like a archtop, can't wait to see how this pup sounds, it sure feels like it's going to play wonderful, just can't tell how it sounds yet. i'll try to snap a few pics
