Tascam US-800 audio interface

Heads up, anyone looking for a USB recording interface. MF has the Tascam US-800 for $100.

I saw that these are getting really cheap. Good because this will be my next purchase after an Ekko 616 pedal and my drummer works for a major music gear retailer so we might be able to get one for <$100. My wonder is if Tascam is going to discontinue this model soon; is that what the price drop is indicating?

 

btw how to you like it? What recording software are you running it with? You get six tracks with that, don't you?

so far so good. I primarily use Logic Pro on a mac. I found this while looking for a versatile, cheap multi-interface: this one has 8 in/4 out, phantom power, MIDI in/out: it covers all my needs and only uses one USB port in the process.

 

And right now, the 8 input US-800 is half the price of the 6 in version US-600... I couldn't resist!
