retrorod Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Nice JC ! It is identical to the one that I bought a couple of months ago. Lovely sounding guitar RRod
j45nick Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Nice, but too rich for my blood. I'm waiting for an estate sale find like Retrorod's. I passed on one this vintage earlier this year because the neck was badly chewed by some kind of capo. Looked like squirrels had been gnawing on it. And it had been overcoated with what looked like 1/8" of goopy varnish, and I couldn't figure out how to get that off.
Steve Swan Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I love these maroon sunburst finish treatments from this time period. My old ES-300 looked like that.
pfox14 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Seems like a pretty high price for a guitar with mutiple repaired cracks, oversprayed back, etc. I would think it should be more in the $4500-5000 range.
