Some call it being seasoned. Some of us achieve this earlier than others. But by 40, we should all have reached that point. I think one of the wisest nuggets of truth that I learned while in my 30's is that LESS IS MORE! And that sometimes a settle whisper speaks volumes. My grandfather, born in Harris, TX in 1889 used to tell me, "Some people the older they get, the wiser they get....others, the older they get, the older they get!" fretplay Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 I went the other way, acoustic all my life then discovered electric a few years ago. I don't play loud but certainly enjoy the versatility and ease of electric, however I think I sound like an acoustic player playing electric.
