lake effect Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Hey all, I am new here and for Christmas my amazing wife got me a beautiful new Epi Dot. One question...what is the standard string gauge that they come with?? Any help would be great! Thanks much! Lake

fretter Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Congrats on getting the git. Now, with the pictures already, huh? We likes them purdy pichers. Hmm hmm.
Blueman335 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Nice wife. Take care of her. What string guage you stick with depends a lot on how much bending you do. I do a lot, so I use 9's on my guitars, 335's included.
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Congrats for the Dot. I hope you´ll have fun with her.
wiggy Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Nice wife. Take care of her. What string guage you stick with depends a lot on how much bending you do. I do a lot, so I use 9's on my guitars, 335's included. So do I but I prefer 11's. In the end it's what you feel comfortable with that works (I tried everything from 8's to 13's and 11's feel perfect to me)
rolling56 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Short scale 10's and long scale 9's for me. I'm getting old and my fingers like that combo best now.
