kaleb Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Okay, I know most of you guys are using the TC Polytune as your main tuner now, but may I ask, HOW THE HELL CAN YOU LIKE IT??????!!!???? I got one for Xmas and it disappointed me greatly. Made my show on NYE worse than it already was ( spending 5 minutes fiddling with a tuner while people are waiting to hear more ZZ Top is NOT COOL ). I always had to finish the job with my ear with this tuner. While my TU-3 may suck tone a tiny bit., and call the E strings F on the display ( but it still is tuning to E ), it never failed me. It was always pretty much spot on. To be honest with yas I think the Polytune is all hype, just like all the other TC stuff. In my world, there are no G-Majors, just G Spots[flapper]!!!!! No Nova Delays, just Nova cars from 68.
djroge1 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Sounds like operator error to me. I'm just sayin'
EVOL! Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I am confused too. Had mine for almost two years and she works great. I don't use the polytuning mode much; if at all. Is that where it failed you?

Is that where it failed you? i don't rely on the polytuning either: a quick check/tweak of each string individually, followed by a quick strum to see how the strings line up in poly, and i'm done. works very well.
