Custom vs. Supreme

I'm about to get my first Gibson guitar, and I've summed up my decision to either the Les Paul Custom or the Les Paul Supreme.

 

I'd appreciate if someone who has owned both guitars to explain the main differences.

Also, is it possible to order a Les Paul Custom with a Les Paul Supreme Desert Burst Finish?
