rainbowdemon427 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 The tuners on my LP '07 are very loose to me, so two questions: is there a way of tightening them up so they'r enot so loose, or is there an alternative replacement. They're the Gibson historic green tulip heads, one end of the casing is rounded. Two screws inline with the body.
Gary Moore Tribute Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 It may be that the nuts need tightening HOWEVER some tulip tuners are naturally loose, if their German Schaller that would be normal, planet Wave ones are alot tighter normally.
rainbowdemon427 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 Sorry guys, perhaps I should have made that clearer in the first post. When I say 'loose' I mean that it's so easy to turn, unlike other Kluson replacement tuners I have, which have some resistance to being turned. There's no nut to tighten on the top of the headstock with these tuners, they have a push-in bush, thats all. They have a shorter height than the ones I have on my SG and Flying V too.
