btoth76 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Hello guys! Today is the sad anniversary of the great Def Leppard guitarist's death... On behalf of the Hungarian musicians I would like to express my sympathy with His family and friends. I hope Def Leppard will carry on His legacy for decades. His thoughtful compositions, thunder-like riffs and tasteful playing influenced many of us. Since this is Gibson Guitar's Forum, I can't do to not to mention His dedication to Gibson instruments...(which - I think - deserves gratitude from the Company...) Best regards... Bence
marius Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 he was a great guitarist. i like def leppard, but they havent been as good since he was in the band
btoth76 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 Vivian Campbell is a great guitarist for sure. He was fantastic with Dio, Whitesnake - He left no place for arguments about His talent with His accomplishment. Def Leppard became different after Steve Clark's passing, but it's very hard to tell whether it was because of Mr. Campbell, or simply the mainstream musical taste changed and they tried to follow the trends. God knows. Thanks God everyone can listen to His favorite record whether with Mr. Clark or Mr. Campbell on guitar... Cheers... Bence
