JMB1984 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Does anyone know the specifications of the Quilt Top Les Paul Standards available as guitar cent exclusives? http://platinum.guitarcenter.com/search/view_listing.cfm?prodId=19204 It doesnt seem the same as other stadards. Is chambered or weight relieved? 50's/60's neck? etc... I tried asking at guitar center and the rep didnt seem too sure about it.
rocketman Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I don't know but I love them! I always wanted a quilt top. Some people don't like them but I think they look great.

I know this is a really late reply, but I just bought a "Gibson Les Paul Standard Quilt Top Royal Blue" at Guitar Center (WooHoo!) The asymmetrical neck profile is different than the 60's Slim Taper. It is designed to be thicker on the bass side(like the 50's profile), and thinner on the treble side(like the 60's), closely outlining the natural form of the hand as it grips the neck. Thanks again!
