Anybody really happy and content with their gear?

I'm very content with what I have and have been for a few months now. Not really gasing for anything. Maybe it's the bass player in me but I'm extremely happy with my sound. Gibson SG standard, Marshall JMD501, Keeley Fuzzhead and MXR noise gate....

What do you guys/girls think?

I'm pretty content with my gear too.

I don't have any real GAS for anything right now.

I see a mixer sometime in the future but that's about it.

I'm very content with my lot.

I've got the best electric I've ever played; an amp which does everything I could possibly need and recently my s-hole acoustic has been made playable and I'm thoroughly enjoying learning how to play it.

The others are effectively 'spares' and are fairly dispensable.

Being content is an ongoing process with me. I love the gear I have but something may come along...

I'm not. Since coming back to playing I've found that everything has changed so much. I'd like a Boogi mk v. I'll be having new guitars this year. I bought cheaper one to see if I wanted to play again and I suppose I was spoiled by having Gibson's before. I find most things inferior.

Right now i'm only GASing for a couple of pedals. One is almost on its way to me!!!

Oh and maybe a guitar with P90's. So...i guess the answer is no...not content yet. :)

I'm pretty happy with what I have. I'd like another guitar at some point (Fender 72 Telecaster Deluxe).. Maybe a bass amp. I don't have a bass amp. No hurry on that stuff though.

I thought I was content for a while, but I'm getting the two year itch. I'm considering a Gretsch G100CE acoustic/electric and trading in my SS Fender amp for a smaller Fender tube. Haven't decided on one, yet.

As the name implies,I am completely happy with my gear.both guitars are tonemasters and a all tube 30 watt amp to process signals. I will say this though,NYE I went to hear a friends band at a party. The guitar player opened up with a single coil telecaster then switched to a SG Std for the second half of the show. It was like a different band-gotta love those HB's!

I'm pretty happy with all my gear. The guitar situation is excellent. Sound system/s the same. Most I need at the moment is another mic, although I've got three good ones. How long this contentment will last---hell, who knows? Must admit though, I've ordered a chromatic mountain dulcimer that may arrive this week. Am interested in maybe getting 3-4 Irish Penny Whistles in the keys I need. Beyond that, no big ticket items---unless I decide to go after a CJ165.....None of it is carved in stone.

The only things that are missing from my musical bag of tricks are the jangle of a Rickenbacker 320 or 360/12.I also need to get something to replace my old and heavy Leslie-a Tech21.NYC Rotochoir is on my GAS list too.Once I have these toys I may be satisfied for a while.I have a fabulous Leslie emulator in my Vox AD120VTH but I can't use that with any other amp so the Rotochoir is the logical next step. You can check them out here: http://www.tech21nyc.com/ they are great rigs and extremely Leslie like.

I think if you keep up with "stuff," you're never entirely content. I "need" a cab for my old 60s Fender Bassman head. I would like an upgrade PA and...

I am always chasing sound but I am pretty happy with what I have.

I still have GAS for:

1. P90 equipped guitar. I have my eyes on one of those gold top LP studios.

2. I want to finish buying parts and start building my Train Wreck Express clone.

G.A.S. is an interesting phenomenon...it can appear, when one leasts expects

(or needs) it. Overall, I'm quite content, with my "gear." But, like most

of us, I get GAS attacks, now and then...sometimes, I act on them, most of

the time, I ignore them...contrary to how it might seem? LOL

I will say, that this forum has a tendency to ramp up the GAS, all too often.

But, that's one reason, the forum was created, right? [biggrin]

Gas sometime sneaks up on you when you least expect it. I once when in hoping to find the pics I liked...new guitar and amp that day lol

The odd thing, for me, anyway...is, that the more I play out,

the less I seem to get/have "G.A.S.!" It's only when I have

a lot of "down time," and can cruise the forums, and Internet

music retailers, or "new gear" columns, that I seem to think

I "need" something more. LOL [tongue] Soooo, I guess the

trick for me, is to stay busy playing![thumbup][biggrin]

I'm pretty content right now, however I wouldn't mind an electric acoustic and maybe a good Strat for a back-up guitar.

Couldn't even think about affording them right now. Maybe in the future.
