Gary49
I had a guy tell me today my Gibson LP standard might be a fake because it didn't have dots in the USA on the back of the headstock. He said it should be U.S.A.

Thunderchild
Hi Gary49, My Gibson LP '08 Standard and my Gibson LP Classic Custom both have USA the same way, NO dots between the letters. They look just like your photo. Ask the "guy" to share what he's smoking. Welcome aboard. God Bless. TC

Guest rogerb
The serial number is listed in the Gibson data base as a 2008 Les Paul Standard, 60's neck profile, heritage cherry sunburst finish with nickel hardware. This guitar was invoiced to Canada originally. Hope this helps.
