j45nick
Russ Barenberg really makes that banner J-45 sing. And Steve Krenz is a very, very good teacher.

Lefty Guy
Barenberg is one of my favourites, he gets amazing tone out of that old Gibson & the album that song is on is incredible. I had the privilege of being taught by him at Steve Kaufman's Kamp in 2008 & that J-45 is something special....& it even has laminated b/s! He even admitted to being a lefty playing righty during one lesson...

I saw another video of him where he was playing an Epiphone Masterbuilt.

Lefty Guy
A j-45 with laminated b/s? Never heard of such. You sure? Yes: Quote - "Barenberg has played a very rare 1945 Gibson “banner” J-45 for many years. Due to materials shortages during World War Two Gibson was forced to make instruments with whatever wood was available. His J-45 has laminated maple back and sides instead of the more usual solid mahogany, but in his hands it sounds simply glorious." http://www.russbarenberg.com/CurrRel.cfm
