Whitmore Willy Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 At the top of this forum is this...(Read the first post in the thread) http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/54419-id-your-epiphone-here-serial-key-guitardater-link-factory-codes-a-worldwide-guide-part-3/ Jon C, I am no expert at this serial number stuff. If I use the guitar dater project (which does not recognize many newer numbers) yours is not recognized. If, however, I substitute an (I) for what you say is the first digit..(1)... I get: Your guitar was made at the Saein Plant, Korea July 1998 Production Number: 1347 Guitar dater project: http://www.guitardaterproject.org/epiphone.aspx Thefatman, The 11 at the front of yours indicates 2011. With the links provided you should be able to figure out the rest. Guys, Keep in mind that a real serial number means nothing if the guitar is a fake. If you buy from an authorized dealer you have no problem. From anyone else....best to post pics before buying. Even at that, it can be a crap shoot. Willy Edit: There are members that know much more about these numbers than I do. Maybe some will chime in over the day. W.W.
