Thanks man, i might, i have loads of buddy holly esque calenders, one had his guitar on it, a 1958 Fender Stratocaster, i wish i could have played it, i would have done his songs on that thing continously and then play some blues on at the end

EpiphoneFan1989 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 so if anyone does know any Holly fans on here let me know Of course. I really like him. Great timeless songs.
saturn Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I'm a big Buddy Holly fan. I still have a cassette from the 80s around somewhere of his original master recordings. I used to wear that one out. Also saw the play "Buddy" many years ago and loved it. I think it was the only time I ever attended the "theater" that wasn't on a school field trip.
FenderGuy1 Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 i can do some SRV covers too since i have a sunburst SX Copy strat that i mainly use for SRV and Buddy
This_Dying_Soul Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, but I like Buddy Holly. Great musician and composer.
FenderGuy1 Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 good to know, as far as i am concerned there has got to be a Strat out there that Buddy once owned
Unionman Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 My wife and I visited the ballroom in Clear Lake Iowa where his last gig was, and also the spot where the plane went down. The club is beautiful. I like his early stuff, when the Crickets were a trio. Jerry Allison is a great drummer.
FenderGuy1 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Rave On! he used a gibson medium pick because it was found in the pickguard of his Strat when they restored it
