Yesterday a snow storm 3-4" of blowing snow. This a.m. I blew the drive open for the second time in 12 hours! UGHHHH Winter is here.

Same here in Michigan. We had a nasty snow in early December and nothing since (except for a couple dustings). We usually have snow on the ground for most of the winter. I was out golfing the last couple days. But Ol' Man Winter blasted us with ice and snow last night and still going today. . <_<

Christmas 2011... mildest on record..temperatures of 14/15c in England and Ireland........[unsure]

Same here in deepest southern UK, 10 to 12 C most days (what ever that is in old stuff) little frost and no snow. The past three winters have been cold /snow, difficult driving conditions but this year, good. hope it holds on till spring, and for you my fellow members.

We got a dusting in SW Missouri but the temps with the wind were 0ºF yesterday and last night and this morning.......but another warmup tomorrow [thumbup]

Del, I hate to tell you, but you're not gonna see our Florida weather (22 C) before next summer! If then....

Almost always mild here in the Heart of Dixie ... but last night the temp dropped and we had some snow flurries ..... caused everyone to panic and rush to the grocery store to buy up all the milk and bread and tolit paper .... apparently to make tolit paper sandwichs.

Is that what y'll eat up there in North Alabama?

Ain't nuthin like a good Charmin sammich on wundabread washed down with a ice-cold glass o' buttahmilk! [biggrin]

(That's OK, JDD. You know I was born in SE Mississippi. We couldn't even afford the Charmin for our TP sammiches. If we were lucky, we had wundabread and mayonnaise sammiches.)

Yeah, J45, but at least you had enough sense to get to south Fla ... bet you ain't eatin' mayo and wonderbread down there in the sunshine state. Ah, for some days on the beach in January! But i do love me some buttermilk ... especially with some cornbread.

No, as my wife sez, these little piggies done gone uptown. It's mushroom risotto and sauvignon blanc instead of cornbread and buttamilk.

But we still got our Gibsons......

Actually, it's going to be nippy here tomorrow. Fire in the fireplace night. (Fireplace? In South Florida? Yep.) Maybe even a Laphroaig night. It's amazing how well any kind of whiskey goes with a Gibson, a fire in the fireplace, and a little bit of the blues.
