FenderGuy1 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 i just decided to tell what i do besides playing guitar, i collect TV's
FenderGuy1 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Nah, im just collecting them at garage sales
Buxom Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Well, you should sell them and your other guitars and buy a decent MIM.
Riffster Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The logo on that Orion looks wrong, I bet it is a fake.
sneakerpimp Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The logo on that Orion looks wrong, I bet it is a fake. it's meant to mimic Sony... like these guys.
bonzoboy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 If your 2 TVs is considered a collection then the ones I have in the living room, music room and rec room must be a collection too.Whoopee,I'm a TV collector too. BTW the TVs you have pictured could'nt be considered old and since they are the obsolete CRT picture tube style they have little value and won't likely build up any appreciable value for millenia.
Buxom Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 If your 2 TVs is considered a collection then the ones I have in the living room, music room and rec room must be a collection too.Whoopee,I'm a TV collector too. My house has 3 TVs in it!!! *gasp*
Guest farnsbarns Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 What ever floats your boat. You want an early 70s, b+w white coloured tv with a twiddley knob for tuning in to another channel? Gotta be worth something to a tv collector.

You guys just don't know. Tube tone is were it's at. New TVs look digital and sterile. Sure they look sharp ..... if you don't care about tone.
stein Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Would you say they are Solid State? More like a loose, flabby bottom end. Not good.
sneakerpimp Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 i actually collect flat screens. my computers: current (2008) MacBook and iBook from 2000, the world's first mass-produced wi-fi laptop... Apple's first PowerBook with 9" green backlit lcd... also have the original 22" Cinema Display (stock photo) in storage from my college days: my computer next to 7" and 32" tv's: Sony Watchman:
JohnMac Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I won't even get started with you guys on my vintage audio gear. Tubes baby! You can be brutal if it ain't guitars.
FenderGuy1 Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 Yep, tubes are were its at, i might open up my other sets and see if they are CRT as well, and Buxom i will not sell the TV's, i could sell my computer and then buy a decent MIM Strat, my computer is down so i have to use this laptop
surfpup Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Would you say they are Solid State? They looked pretty tubular. Creamy too. Brown sound, anyone?
JellyWheat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 They looked pretty tubular. Creamy too. Brown sound, anyone? MY collection has the "silent shutting feature"! [...tapered ends] Works just like a compressor! J/W
