goillini
the g string won't stay seated in the nut, i've tried to tune it up a step or so and then back down to in tune and then it will slip out of the nut as soon as i start to play. hopefully this is an easy fix, any suggestions? Bender 4 Life
either use an old wrapped string(no bigger than the slot) as a file, or clean the slot GENTLY/no more than needed w/a needle file... lube the slots with graphite (pencil marking is fine for this) or a product such as "nut sauce" enjoy your new guitar! oops, re-read your post......sounds like time to have a good nut cut for it
pfox14
Sounds like the nut slot is too shallow. You could try filing the slot a little deeper and see if that helps, but a new nut would certainly be the best fix.
Dallastx
I slightly filed my top 3 strings because of string ping when tuning.. They are shallow. D
