Charles Oliveira
I've contacted Gibson.com and they said this to me: "Hi, Thanks for the email. This model comes with Epiphone Electric strings, gauges 10-46. They are available for order through Authorized Epiphone Dealers, www.gibson.com/dealers . Thanks again!" Where can I buy original strings to my Gibson? What strings can I use without damage my Epiphone Les Paul Standard Black? Someone know peoples in Ebay or another site that send to BRAZIL? Yes, I'm from BR. :)
bigneil
any set of 10-46 that don't have a wound g string will be fine. but you can also use a set of 9s 10s 11s with out too much trouble.

RobinTheHood
Any brand of electric strings will do just fine as long as you get the right size. As a matter of fact, I've never liked the Gibson or Epiphone strings. They always seemed to stiff to me.
Blueman335
The most important thing is to get the string gauge that is right for you. I play blues and do a lot of bending, so I use 9's. Other guys who don't bend as much usually like 10's. Other guys down tune a step and use 11's. Thick strings have a deeper tone, so they have to be tighter to reach the same pitch. This makes them feel stiffer and that makes them harder to bend. If you're playing mostly chords, 10's are great.
