Del Nilppeznaf
Ok, I know some of you guys probably already own your dream guitar but if you could have any guitar that you don't have what would it be? I remember Kurt Cobain talking about wanting to buy Leadbelly's 12 string and the asking price was $500,000 haha any takers?
EuroAussie
From the current crop it would be HB TV, plus a whole bunch of vintage Gibsons..
slimt
Ive owned a few Old ones...BUT. If money was not a object....... a Modern Version of the Gibson Harp Guitar and matching Gibson Style 0 would be my pick.... even if they used the same ole Birch for the back.. and if they made those just like the Old ones... Those would be my picks...

Rambler
If money were no object, many of us would have more than we need. Or even play regularly. Dangerous concept.

chasAK
I would custom order a j45 legend with a j45 standard neck.It would have custom selected wood and a couple special mop inlays. I mentionedon an earlier post of changing the pick guard style. I think I would probably staywith the traditional style. chasAK
Guth
I actually got to play the guitar of my dreams — sorta. I stopped by to visit a vintage guitar shop back when I lived in Austin. Almost immediately after walking in, out of the corner of my eye I saw a small 30's era vintage Gibson hanging up on the wall. Stepping closer to the guitar, I realized that it was a lefty. Nevertheless, I pulled it down off of the wall and played around with it as best I could. The thing was simply amazing, each and every note was dry, woody perfection all the way up the fretboard. I didn't bother to determine the exact model of this guitar (L-0, L-00, ??) since it was a lefty, but I do recall that it was a 13 fret mahogany guitar with a spruce top. This guitar was actually in my price range, and I briefly thought about having it converted to a right-handed configuration. But knowing that there was no guarantee that it would retain that magic, I passed. My hope was that some left-handed player would come along after me and find the guitar of their dreams. So, for the sake of this thread, if money were no object I suppose I would have found the person that could have converted that guitar over to a righty while maintaining that same magic. But as things stand right now, I wouldn't trade my J-45 for it and I still hope that some lefty ended up with that guitar and is still happy with it. Rock and Reel
As long as we're wishing, how about Gene Autry's 1933 Martin D-45 or Paul McCartney's left handed 1959 Les Paul burst.I'm curious. If they were for sale (and they aren't) which do you think would bring more at auction... the very first Martin D-45 owned by "The Singing Cowboy" or a the Holy Grail of electric guitars in a south paw version and owned and played by the Beatle? Danner
I'd do a custom J-200 along the lines of a Western Classic, but cherry burst and all my favorite hardware bits & pieces.

BluesKing777
Someone posted a link to Shoenberg Guitars? Some of those guitars would make the short list, along with some TPBii's and others on this forum. And don't forget a Ferguson! Or two! One Nick Lucas Ferguson and perhaps a custom 00 Ferguson. And I think Wily must still be on honeymoon with his newest guitar! He will fold soon. BluesKing777.

j45nick
I would buy a time machine to take me back to the day my old J-45 was made in the late 40's. I would take it home brand new, play it every day, never abuse it, and be perfectly content with that one guitar, assuming it would end up sounding as good as it does now (even after all its changes). ataylor
An early 40s banner J-45 or mid 30s J-35. For new models it would have to be the J-45 Legend.
