Danner
OWF's CF-100 picture got me thinking. CF-100: Would the Custom Shop make me one of these? Or, would they add that kind of cut-out to a guitar like an L-00? I am really GASing for a CF-100, but they are hard to find and very expensive. Gibson has made plenty of them for the Japanese market. Just have your dealer give 'em a call. I doubt you will have to go the custom route. I have played several of them and they are the real deal. Danner
Thanks hogeye. I just called and was surprised that they knew of the guitar, and had seem a couple come through the shop (e-version with the P90). I even asked if I could get split parallelograms and a straight bridge. Waiting on a call back. I just hope the price isn't wwwaaayyyy up there. Hogeye
Which begs the question: CF-100 or CF-100e? CF-100 for me. I play a Tele when I want to plug in. I do have to admit that the P-90 is my all time favorite pickup. Either way you will have a very nice guitar. I like the look of the sharp cut-away. The original Gibson Star had the sharp cuaway and it's still the best looking guitar they came out with. Music Villa had one in their collection and I tried to buy it for years. jannusguy2
Have you ever had a chance to play one? I bought a Custom Shop RI for 3k a few years ago. Beautiful guitar with a very small sound. I was disappointed in the lack of power and the guitar was gone within a year. Try to get your hands on one before you buy or try an LG. At least you'll have an idea with the LG as they're the same platform for the most part.

They don't have the power of a dreadnought or SJ but they have the sweetest tone. You have to listen to them and when they start singing there is nothing better. Sometimes when it's quiet and all but me are in bed I reach for my B-25 and the sweetest sounds fill my head. It's kinda like when you were a kid and your girl was whispering in your ear. You don't need a lot of volume in these moments just a touch of sweet and all is well with the world. They aren't for everyone but when you hear one speak to you it's a pretty cool thing.
