I'm confused. What do you want to record with band in a box? Garageband is a pretty simple program for creating backing tracks.

The he considered Paul Macca and 'Dings'.... Sorry. The truth about B in a B is that I bought it quite a few years back when I was experimenting with recording gadgets and after being quite thrilled with the possiblities at first I came to realize that like everything on a computer, B in a B does everything EXCEPT what you want it to do. Bin It! Cursed stuff. BluesKing777.
