Bluemoon
Has anyone tried this. A few people over at a different forum were raving about it after trying just about every other product on the market. You can order it without silicon. Thought I would give it a try. I will let you know how it goes. http://guitarscratchremover.com/index.html
MikeRom
Take before and after pics. Wonder if it removes deeper scratches or only the really really fine ones?
Bluemoon
Take before and after pics. Wonder if it removes deeper scratches or only the really really fine ones? Will do. Most of what I have are minor swirls. Not sure this will take out deeper scratches. I doubt it.
enchong
Hi Kindly advise me of the results as I will buy right away if it works... Just bought a new LP custom but in another tread i mentioned that I accidentally hit the top of the front of my guitar with the handset of the phone and it created a dink and a long scratch...would love to be able to remove it or at least reduce the scratch. Cheers

otaypanky
I have good results with 'Scratch and Swirl Remover' and a 'Soft Cloth', both products sold by Harley Davidson. Having spent many years doing paintless dent removal and working with fine automobile finishes, I can tell you that a real scratch will not come out with any polish. Most any hand glaze type aotomobile polish and an applicator like the Harley 'Soft Cloth' will do a great job of removing swirl marks and minor surface rubs. Be forewarned, if you have a nitro finish on your guitar, it's quite easy to rub through it~~~
enchong
Thanks!! Will get one soon.. Do you happen to know if an LP Custom has a nitro finish?

Homz
Not that I want scratches or dents in my LP, but I do like the ware marks. I tell me 8yr. old son when he inherits it I hope its got some of the paint worn off. Ironic since one of the many reasons for buying it was its show room beauty. Ian Martin
There is only one true way to remove a scratch from a new guitar, and that is another scratch. You'll stop noticing and even caring!
SRV-Zeppelin
+1000 Ian... I have plenty of scratches on the back of my LP (not the front of course) and wouldn't remove any of them. I think it's nice to have a couple scars on your guitars... it shows that they've actually been played.
cajunman831
Hi Enchong,I use the GHS on my nitro guitars. It works real good and it is a mild polish abrasive also.I love the stuff. For light scratches and dings.I have taken out some deep dings with it also.Get a good Fender or Gibson cloth and go to work.Buff,Polish,Bufff till it,s gone.
