Hi Folks!

Wow such supportive and warm welcome and I haven't even properly introduced myself. Thank you to everyone for kind and funny comments ... I am sure I will get to know all of you soon enough :)

Unfortunately I am a SUPER-novice so I am not going to be able to give you a technical run-down of the guitar but I can tell you this .... it is REAL sweet! Frank was playing some tunes on it last night and we played it clean and with some pedals we have and it really delivers a variety of tones. The mixture of a semi-hollow body and the P94's generate a really different tonal range than that of the hollow body casino.

The finish is amazing and it is really well built. Yes, I did give it a name ... it is a she, her name is Butternut. I wonder if Rob (RaSTuS) has a name for each one of his bits of wood and plastic [biggrin]

Thanks again ... and I look forward to some great conversation!

Welcome aboard Lori, I glad you're so happy with the new guitar, Butternut, it looks wonderful, and if it sounds half as good as it looks, you've got a real beauty there, HNGD again.

I do have names for each of them, for instance my 1997 American Standard Strat is called my 1997 American Standard Strat, I'm such a creative soul, LOL.

I have not doubt that the creativity comes out in the music!

@ Pete.R, mrw1960, danmayberry - thanks for your comments - we are really impressed with the workmanship and the guitar sounds awesome. It's a nice little upgrade.

@Snick, damian - we brushed by this one a few times and had not given it full consideration. I was considering a local used Sheraton when Frank suggested the Riviera. I was looking for a hollow/semi-hollow body with the P90s (or something like it) ... the Casino was out of my budget (and that's Frank's guitar anyway) and for now I wanted to stay away from the Bigsby tremolo ... so looking further ... this one ticked a lot of boxes. There was some apprehension buying a guitar sight-unseen and unplayed ... but after seeing Frank's Casino we had some pretty decent expectations ... and we were not disappointed. I think I am going to love it!

Thanks again to everyone ... since Frank joined the forum you have all been helpful in answering questions and sharing knowledge. A good group to know indeed!

Welcome aboard Lori!

Now that we have a lady on the forum again, we'll have to start behaving better and dress up a bit.

Cheers on a great guitar, enjoy!

Well, at least until I get to know you all ... [wink] Nah, a Brotherhood is a Brotherhood ... don't let me interrupt that :)
