vinny6strings
I am considering purhasing a new guitar for my 11 year old son. I am undecided whether to get him a Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded model or one of the new Epiphone Prophecy models. I am partial to the Gibson because it is the real deal even though it won't be as flashy as the Epiphone. My feeling is that the Gibson will always hold it's value even though it is a no frills model, whereas the Epiphone won't. Any opinions??
69tele
i would go for the gibson too for the reasons mentioned might be worth him trying an SG faded might be lighter and easier for him at 11.

Nightspore68
An SG would be easier for little hands.
