Super Bowl!

That game sucked. Not just because my team lost, but it was incredibly boring all around. Super Bowl commercials were awful except for the Ferris Bueller take off for Honda (very funny). If I see one more polar bear commercial for coke, I'm going to shoot myself.

I liked the game. I didn't like the Half Time Show. Not a fan of any of the performers but they made it even worse by having more than Madonna. One bad performer is enough.

Disappointed with most of the commercials. Dorito's, E-Trade babies, Vampires, and the Bud Light one with the dog were the best, but very slim picking for great ones this year.

Since my team, The Lambs, weren't even close this year, I watched it mainly for the commercials and I've seen better.

Overall, I think the game was pretty blah until the last quarter. Styx or Poison, seriously? How bout' some Rush! It would be the closest Super Bowl to 2-1-12 in our lifetime! Or Ace Frehley and his band. Id rather have him than Kiss. I can't stand Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley is a has-been, Tommy Thayer I don't care for much ( if he really had respect for Ace he would have not waltzed his way into that role. BTW those stories about Tommy teaching Ace his old parts is bull. Tommy's hero wasn't Ace, it was the Spaceman character. The day Tommy credits the awesomeness of Rock Soldiers or Talk to Me is the day I subscribe to Rolling Stone.... ), and Eric Singer is awesome but he doesn't belong in the Catman persona or trying to play like Peter. Peter had a style all of his own. If ya ask me, Kiss should take off the makeup ( its getting closer to the 30th Anniversary of the un-masking and LIck it Up. BTW, its time for Paul to start wearing shirts....), invite Bruce back, and do a Revenge reunion ( its the 20th Anniversary of Revenge this year. Awesome album, even if I prefer Frehley's Comet ). WHO'S WITH ME??!!!???!!!

I'm with you on Rush. I could just imagine Spirit of the Radio or YYZ on that stage [biggrin] . But i think i would have been fine with anything better than madonna

I thought Madonna did a tasteful and entertaining halftime show. Way better than the Black Eyed Peas! I liked the way she brought an "Old Fashioned Halftime Show" feel to it with the Bleachers and the dancers doing their Cheerleader and Marching Band routine at the end. She really served the event instead of just using it to push her own product. The new song wasn't bad, either. [thumbup]

Personally I'd rather watch The Who, but personal taste aside, Madonna did a better "Half Time Show". I mean, The Who's performance could have been for any awards show. Same could be said for Black Eyed Peas, Janet Jackson, and most recent performances. Typical short presentation performances. Madonnas was obviously for a Football Game.

Sorry dude, but that show sucked. It just did. Everything could have been better. Sure she did a better job that the B.E.P but she could have done a much better job than that. Or they could have gotten someone else, but I agree, she did bring an old fashioned feel to it and that was a positive.

Grading on the curve, she did fine. I mean, when was the last really cool Halftime performance? Even good performers like "The Who" blew chunks compared to any of their recent televised performances. Compared to other Halftime shows, she did great. Compared to her many MTV Awards performances, not so good. But take into consideration preparation for such a show. At an Awards Show your stage is set up and ready for quite a while before you go on. You have time to mentally prepare before you go on. At a football halftime show you have to go on as the last piece of stage is set up and finish under a strict deadline. Not to mention the horrible sound you get from an outdoor event.

I guess if you look at it that way, then yeah she did pretty good

I agree completely!

I understand that a lot of football fans would expect a hardcore rock/metal band to tear up the stage, but apparently the NFL wants a SHOW, so Madonna is the master of putting on the best show on earth. You guys should give her a little more credit... she did great and didn't do anything shocking!
