georgereuter Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I also have a 1962 Gibson ES125, and have had it since it was new. I played it occasionally and it is in mint condition. The tone is better today than back in 1962. I guess the aging process is responsible, similar to the Amati or Strad Violins. Does anyone know the history of the ES125? I know that they were made since the 50's, and that they were a lower priced guitar selling for about $100-$150. and that they were a good starter guitar. I know little else about them. ANYBODY????
