Tim Plains
I've never tried the Hiwatt, but voted for the AC15 because I have one and I love it.
Thundergod
I love everything VOX puts out this days... so I voted for the AC15... have tried a couple and they were great amps... just dont expect to play metal or hard rock with it, unless you put a dirt box in front. What styles are you planning on playing? Hey Tim... maybe it's time we got ourselves a little "vox porn" thread... eh?

[/quote'] I was thinking of some jazz and blues.. soft rock and classic rock.. not hard or metal. From what I heard I like the vox but I also have an interest in the Hiwatt. zachd33
If I were you, I would invest just a little more cash and go with the vox ac 15 with the celstion blue speaker. Those are kick *** amps.
ChanMan
Of the amps listed, I went with the Vox for the types of music listed.
retrosurfer1959
AC15 sweet amp with good sound and more than enough oomph for most playing. The upgrade to the Celestion blue speaker turns a really good amp into an amazing amp if the $$$ is available
Homz
I love the Vox Custom Classic AC15CC1 15w 1x12. It is the perfect amp for classic rock (Zep, Queen,The Who, B.O.C. etc...). Simple to use and the perfect blend of crunch and chime. I have the version with the standard 16 ohm, 12", 30W VOX/Wharfedale Custom speaker. I may some day invest in the Celestion Alnico "Blue", but for now I am very content.
Hall
Jeff, I'm about to spend big on Reinhardt SV18 or 36 watt Titan, both by Bob Reinhardt. You can get stack or combo and 1x12 or 2x12. They sound great in all samples I hear. How much you planning on spending? www.reinhardtamps.com Steve

Eminence's "red coat" line, made in america or in england depending on the model, comes closer to the original celestion sound in all their speakers than celestion (now made in china) does this days: Eminence Red Fang > Celestion Blue Alnico; Eminence The Gobernor > Celestion Vintage 30; Eminence Private Jack > Celestion Grrenback ... AND they cost just half of what a celestion costs.
