What model should Epiphone bring out?

Recommended Posts

I'm still in love with this Sheraton (Terada) setup:

SheratonTerada.jpg

That Antique burst, frequensator tailpiece, golden hardware, neck binding... such a beauty ToT

And... just cos I'm a hardcore Noel Gallagher fan... The Supernova:

And even better if they were to use the design of the first picture I posted, so it can resemble the real deal:

And... mmm there as another model I hearted a lot, I think the name of it was called... Epiphone Professional? (even though that would imply buying it's matching amp... so, quite impossible lol)

Haven't been here for a long long time, as I was vry busy with work & life.

Love to be back now, as I'm enjoying my sick leave... [blush]

However, I'd love to see an Elitist with a Silverburst finish! This will be a definite winner for me!!!!! [woot]

it would be nice if they made something like a country gentleman or a duo jet. or even if they were to get rights to rickenbacker and make a true copy

Like to see them bring back the Byrdland. Love the tuners and the tailpiece. 350-T, really.

Agreed I will never be able to afford a Gibson. Florentine style preferred but would not complain with any style released. Hoping one day...

Wasn't there a "Country Deluxe" (or something close) a few years ago that was something of a Gretsch clone? Elitist, too, I think. And some were critical of the Swingster when it first came out for being too Gretsch-like, though not, I think, along the lines of the Country Gentleman.

I personally would like to see the return of the Noel Gallagher Supernova in metallic blue (or even black or darker blue would be cool)...

and/or the return of the ebony Casino...

and an Epiphone version of the DG-335 or Trini Lopez models...

I would love to see another casino!

I know i know, there have been loads, too many but I have one finish in mind that I would love.

It would be a natural base but with a cherry rose rub around the outside of the body and then unlaqcuered like the natural inspired by.

Don't visit very often any more but still playing my Sheraton.

What I would like to see Epiphone bring out are archtops in the Broadway/Emperor style (or other similar) with dog-eared P90s, CCs or staples. Something truer to the Gibson/Epiphone family than the ersatz Gretsch-style on the Swingster.

Just my 2 cents.

A Byrdland would be nice. I get frustrated when diversity is replaced by innumerable variations of the same guitar. The Byrdland is my most cherished Epi because it is irreplaceable. Why care? It is one of the shortest scale guitars out there. The Rickenbacker Lennon played is shorter, but is the most overpriced guitar out there, second only to a true Mosrite. If Epiphone built and marketed this guitar for its playability, it could have been an enduring classic.

It doesn't have to be a spruce top hollowbody. A short scale thin hollowbody would be fine. How about a 23" scale LP? There's a niche to be filled.

A non-reverse Firebird V with mini-hums and a Maestro, in sunburst. Like this. A Johnny Winter model? [drool][woot][wub]=D>[love]

Don't like gold hardware? How about this?

How about a Joe Pass (Emperor II) w/P90s? Seems to me a while back someone posted a vid of his JP that he had fitted with them. Seems to me to be a logical variation.

Big thumbs up to the Byrdland idea! [thumbup]

A replacement for the now defunct Gibson Les Paul Doublecut.

LP_DC_Std_Plus.jpg

+1. Yes! A DC LP with a flame top and gold hardware, that would be nice.

I have a Korean ebony Casino, that's a great color for them.

An Epiphone version of the short-lived DG-335: Don't you love that headstock?

dave-grohl_gibson-dg-335-blue_03.jpg

The headstock is the main thing keeping me from wanting one of those; just doesn't look right on a 335. That and the fact that Dave Grohl is so annoying on stage.
