I guess I don't see how this would be a step up over using a multi effects unit or a series of individual stomp boxes. You can download individual pedal programs, but can't use them in tandem unless you buy more iStomps. I guess it could save you money if they come out with different delays etc. and you wanted to upgrade instead of getting rid of your old pedal or processing unit.

I heard one at a show sounded like a Digitech pedal actually a cool concept buy one pedal and be able to change it in about 30 seconds to one of 30 or so available pedals with more on the way and the virtual pedal cost 5 -7 dollars at the online stomp shop depending on the type of pedal. So kind of a cool concept especially for someone that only needs a few basic pedals at a gig just download what you need between songs off your iPad or phone.
