TommyK Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 That Ferlin Husky sure know how to trick out a guit tar. Note the head stock crown. Would this be called a 'Super Dove'? zombywoof Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I betcha' that is one of those guitars made by Frank Gay out of Edmonton, Canada. He made a bunch of those blinged out guitars for country guys.

Frank Gay used parts from some Gibsons to create his Own style.. Ive seen alot of those... Sometimes he would create his own complete style of guitar.. and for the most part , they were Not of Quality.. Ive owned a few... I had Webb Pierces Guitar that was one of a few made for Him.. The Headstocks on the Frank Gay Guitars were one of a Kind.. they were not made to last... The one below , I sold to the Country Music Hall of fame in Nashville. I do believe the one in the Video.. is in the Canadian Country music Hall of fame here in Calgary.. along with Johnny Hortons Frank Gay.. I had the Webb Pierce on display there sitting along beside those for a while.. I also had Victoria Stars Frank Gay Built Guitar.. That was shaped as a Heart ,the Tail end of the guitar along with the bridge was the arrow tip.. the Neck( Shaft) and headstock ( Shaped like the feathers) very Crude..
