Snapper Jones Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Can someone please let me know if the vintage tuners Gibson sells on their website will fit the J-45 Standard? I'd rather just use the holes already made vs. adding new ones. If not, where could I find vintage-style tuners that would work. tx in advance.
blindboygrunt Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 have a look on stewart macdonald site . many choices for tuners . if you look in the reviews at the bottom of each page people say what they bought the tuners for also the guys will help you out with an email request i got grover open back tuners for my j45 historic (surely same size holes ?? ) great tuners and just a straight swap for the originals good luck
pfox14 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I would also recommend StewMac's "Golden Age" tuners. They will fit a vintage Gibson easily and look great. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_slotted_peghead_tuners/Golden_Age_Restoration_Tuners_for_Slotted_Peghead_Guitar.html
