Any Victor Wooten fans?

I bought show of hands when it first came out and was amazed. But somewhere along the way it just faded for me. Most of the time when I listen to Vic anymore all I hear is clickity, clickity, click. Technically wonderful, muscly flat.

I'd rather hear the master.

That brings back some memories, I used to be into Victor Wooten and Bela Fleck back when I was playing bass. The first time I heard Wooten was on the Sinister Minister and after I learned that I got into his other stuff which I wouldn't have 10 seconds patience for these days, U Can't Hold No Groove and Me And My Bass Guitar are definitely fun to play though.

Yup, i have his first solo record. I play it once in a while, very peaceful guy. Only wants to play bass and spread love. Gotta respect that.

I had a chance to meet him in person at a local shop earlier this year. I had a conflict and couldn't make it. Talk about unhappy! If I could be even half a Victor Wooten, I would be happy.

He's coming to our local Summer Camp along with Jane's Addiction and The Tedeschi Trucks band. I might have to suffer through three days of God knows what for this years festival.
